Obama Care - Affordable Health Care Act

One of the requirements of the Tampa Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Tampa Obama Care is that Tampa Health Insurance companies must now accept you regardless of any health issues.

We represent most of the companies that are on the new health exchanges. We also offer policies off exchange if you would rather not enroll in an Obama Care plan. There are large subsidies available to those who qualify where the Government will actually pay most of your insurance premium and help with co-payments, deductibles and other out of pocket expenses.

As with most Government programs they make if difficult for you to apply for the subsidies. Let us do the work in qualifying you and enrolling you in one of the available plans. We have over 25 years experience in handling insurance. Please do not put your family's health care needs in the hand of a Government Navigator whose only background in insurance is a 10 hour crash course. Let us give you a FREE analysis of how much the Government will pay for your health insurance as well as show you the different health plans available.

Please keep in mind that you can only enroll during the open enrollment period. If you miss the open enrollment period then you must wait until the next enrollment period, unless you qualify for an exemption. Please give us a call for the available open enrollment periods.

There are severe financial penalties for not enrolling in a plan. They are:

Penalties get worse each year. For 2014 the tax penalty is 1 percent of modified adjusted household income or $95 per adult and $47.50 per child (up to a maximum of $285 per family), whichever is more. In 2015 penalties rise to 2 percent of income or $325 per adult and $162.50 per child; in 2016 and beyond it will be 2.5 percent or $695 per adult and $347.50 per child. (Higher maximum penalties will apply.) An online calculator that helps determine the likely penalty is available at taxpolicycenter.org.
